Kriminalvården is in an expansion phase to meet the increased need for new prison places. As part of the expansion, Anstalten Skogome will increase the number of places from approximately 200 to 800. This project involves the renovation of the old main building, By 012. The existing main building, constructed in 1992, will undergo renovation to adapt to new functional requirements. The building, which has an area of 2445m2 BTA (2117m2 LOA), is built on three levels, with the lowest level being a basement. Currently, the building houses the central guard, large kitchen, staff dining room, administration, and storage. The building will be integrated as part of the new administration building, building 028, and connected by a corridor. Access to the building will be via building 028. No inmates will reside in the building.
