The subject of the procurement is the supply and implementation of components for an autonomous automated passenger counting system (AFZS) that measures the number of passengers boarding and alighting in the door area of the vehicles and transmits this data, along with additional information, via mobile network to the land side. Specifically, this includes the vehicle-side systems, installation, commissioning, certification, land-side technical background systems, and maintenance services. A particular challenge is that the passenger counting systems must be retrofitted in existing and new vehicles of different bus types and years of construction at different locations within the contracting areas of the contracting associations. The tender aims to find a company with sufficient experience and capacity that supplies and installs the corresponding systems in the vehicles, commissions them promptly, has them tested for counting accuracy, and subsequently supports maintenance and repair.
