Spain – Disinfecting and exterminating services – Contrato de servicio de prevención y control de plagas del municipio de Majadahonda

The subject of the present contract is the provision of the Integrated Pest Prevention and Control Service in the municipality of Majadahonda, in accordance with the Technical Specification Document (PPT), in the exercise of the municipal competence in terms of public health protection as provided for in article 25.2.j) of Law 7/2013, of 27 December, on the rationalisation and sustainability of Local Government, which includes at least and in summary the following actions: 1. Control of rodents (including Rattus rattus - black rat), insects, vector arthropods (Aedes albopictus - tiger mosquito, Hyalomma ticks), wasp nests and pathogenic microorganisms. 2. Actions in the sewerage network, approximately 6,671 wells, manholes, public lighting, municipal buildings, parks and public spaces, others 3. Annual ordinary interventions, attention to alerts within 48h (urgent within 4h), specific campaigns, initial diagnosis, 10 annual training actions and epidemiological surveillance of Aedes albopictus and Rattus rattus - black rat 4. Preparation of Reports other documents, meetings. Excluded from the scope of the present contract, due to their special environmental implications, are possible pest species of birds, such as pigeons, Argentine parrots or Kramer's parrots, as well as phytosanitary treatments to prevent or control pests in plant species. The procedures employed must be based on the principles of Integrated Pest Management as set out in Standard UNE-EN 16636:2015 on Pest Management Services. Requirements and Competences, with the aim of minimising the risks that their presence may pose to Public Health. In the event of persistence of the focus, the treatment must be repeated until its total elimination or control, at no cost to the Municipality.
