1.1 Subject of the contract The mailroom at the Deutsche Bundesbank's Hamburg location will provide the Deutsche Bundesbank (Contracting Authority) with postal services. A service contract is to be awarded for the approximately 170,000 items to be delivered annually. 1.2 Description of the service The subject of the service is the provision of mail services. Mail service, for the purposes of this contract, is the transport and delivery of unfranked mail items up to 2,000 grams, in accordance with the guidelines of the Federal Network Agency (Regulierungsbehörde für Telekommunikation und Post) pursuant to Section 16 Universal Service (Postal Services Act - PostG), as well as their collection as an additional service.
