Germany – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – Rahmenverträge Bauaußenstellen ELT der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften e.V., Liegenschaft Mülheim – Düsseldorf (MPI: STRC, EIFO)

The Max-Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) is a non-profit research organisation predominantly funded by public means. It currently maintains and operates 84 institutes and other research facilities of varying size, structure, and remit across Germany, primarily dedicated to fundamental research in the natural and human sciences. The subject of the contract to be awarded is engineering services in the field of ELT technology for technical external offices of the General Administration of the Max-Planck Society. The contract will be concluded as a framework agreement in accordance with § 21 VgV. The subject of the procurement procedure includes the engineering services to be provided as a so-called "Technical External Office" in the field of ELT technology within the framework of the ongoing maintenance, upkeep, and refurbishment of the technical building services and systems, in accordance with the draft contract provided. The contractual services are based on §§ 53 – 56 HOAI. The Technical External Office supports the Max-Planck Society in the maintenance of its buildings. Maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Max-Planck Society's guidelines for building maintenance. In addition, the contracting authority intends to award planning services for construction measures to the contractor during the term of the framework agreement. The services are usually carried out during ongoing operations. In providing the services, not only the special requirements of the highly installed buildings and the corresponding technical systems, but also the usual work processes in research and science must be taken into account. In this respect, the Max-Planck Society attaches importance to the fact that bidders can demonstrate profound knowledge in the field of science and research, as well as experience in carrying out maintenance and refurbishment measures during ongoing operations. The services to be provided must at least comply with the generally recognised rules of the art and meet all the necessary requirements of economy, energy efficiency and sustainability. With the submission of the application for participation, the bidders declare that they are able to provide the services within the specified period and, in particular, that they have the necessary specialist, personnel, material and time resources for this. The special requirements for the provision of services may make it necessary to be available for coordination meetings on site or in Munich at short notice and frequently at the request of the contracting authority. This lot includes the following MPIs: STRC (Max-Planck-Institut für Chemische Energiekonversion) EIFO (Max-Planck-Institut für nachhaltige Materialien (formerly Eisenforschung)) With the submission of an application for participation, the bidders declare that they are able to provide the services within the period mentioned below and that they have the necessary specialist, personnel and material resources for this.
