Germany – Grounds maintenance services – Rasenmahd Spülfeld Rohrplan

The subject of the service is regular grass cutting and mulching work for the maintenance of the dam crests and the inner and outer slopes of the four polders of the Rohrplan flushing field. The area to be maintained amounts to a total of approx. 110,000 m² and comprises exclusively the surrounding dam areas; areas within the polders are not part of the service and can only be processed optionally and upon separate instruction. The vegetation consists predominantly of natural growth of nutrient-rich meadows with growth heights of approx. 80–120 cm. The mowing is carried out as a mulch cut, the mulch material remains on the area. The maximum cutting height is ≤ 10 cm. At least one complete mowing run must be carried out per calendar year; a second mowing run may be required depending on operations and will be separately instructed. In addition, the service includes the pruning or removal of low shrub and bush growth. Due to uneven terrain and possible burrowing damage, difficult working conditions must be expected. The work is to be carried out in compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety, environmental and nature conservation regulations (in particular breeding and settling periods). Suitable, soil-friendly machines must be used for the execution, e.g. flail mowers and, if necessary, special equipment for difficult-to-access areas (e.g. long-arm equipment).
