Description

Execution of the reconstruction of the yew-rose quarter in the historic City Park, located at the multimedia fountain. The reconstruction of the yew-rose quarter requires: 1. Removal of the irrigation line (approx. 300 m) and securing of the mineral alleys using temporary technical roads, the maximum surface area of which is specified as approx. 400 - 668 m2. 2. Removal of plants that have not retained their vitality. Excavation and storage in a shaded place of plants in good phytosanitary condition - notification of works to the Contracting Authority and the Green Supervision Inspector. 3. Replacement of contaminated and silted plant substrate in the amount of approx. 118 m3; (118 m3 = 393.75 m2 x 0.3 m), i.e. to a depth of 30 cm; with a linear deepening running along the quarter. The deepening, filled with gravel, should be located in the middle and perform a draining function. 4. Conducting enrichment and cultivation of the plant substrate (i.e. the application of fertilizers slowly dissolving in the plant substrate with a long period of action, i.e. 6 months, sorbents and mixing of the substrate). 5. Reconstruction of the plant collection of the French Garden, (including: completion of plant material, purchase and planting of plants), i.e.: 1) 700 units of common yew/ intermediate yew (Taxus baccata/ Taxus x media) - low variety on edgings/ low hedge for frequent shaping, the Contracting Authority allows only varieties suitable for edgings in a formal garden; 2) 40 units of yew topiaries (the Contracting Authority allows varieties and shaped plants, including spherical form with a diameter of 60-80 cm and square form with a width of 60-80 cm; the Contracting Authority allows plants from the genus: Taxus, Ilex, Buxsus, Picea, Prunus laurocerasus); 3) 250 units of ground cover rose, certified variety, in yellow flowering colour (Rosa Flushing Meadow ®) – rose for use in row planting, the Contracting Authority requires rooted, bushy plants with budded flower buds, with a minimum height of 30 cm. 4) 500 units of crocus bulbs, mix. colours; Early spring plants will adorn the garden in the period, so-called pre-spring, thus achieving an ornamental effect. 6. Mulching the surface of 393.75 m2 of the reconstructed quarter by spreading a 5 cm layer of very fine, composted pine bark, intended for use in horticulture. 7. Re-laying of the irrigation line and its commissioning, carrying out any minor repairs. 8. Conducting the reclamation of the area, approx. 400 m2, i.e.: dismantling temporary technical roads, carrying out rolling of the mineral alleys surface, cleaning of all kinds of securing, waste and remains after the works, if necessary carrying out the reclamation of lawns, after the entry/ manoeuvres of delivery cars etc. 9. The plants that have not retained their vitality The contractor should dispose of in accordance with the waste law. Plants currently in the plant quarter, which are in good phytosanitary condition, should be carefully excavated and stored/ placed in a shaded place. This fact should be reported to the Contracting Authority and the Green Supervision Inspector. 10. As part of the task, the Contracting Authority requires the use of "new" plants, i.e. young, healthy plants, of the same selection, equal in size and phase of development. The Contracting Authority informs that the purchased and delivered plant material will be subject to inspection before planting by the Contracting Authority's Representative and the Green Supervision Inspector. 11. Diseased, infested, damaged, non-bushy and non-rooted plant material will not be allowed for use in the task. 12. Reconstruction of the greenery layout. The quarter consists of symmetrical repetitions of the layout of formed greenery: "sphere, sphere, rows of yew, square with yew, rows of yew, sphere, sphere" - the whole occupies 30 m2 and repeats 5 times at equal intervals. Between the above layout there are row plantings of ground cover roses surrounded by a yew edging: "edging, 4 rows of 11 roses, edging". The entire quarter together occupies an area of 393.75 m2. 13. The works will be carried out with regard to the conservator's requirements. 14. The detailed scope of the works is contained in the documents: Work Programme – Annex No. 1 to IDW. * A detailed description of the subject of the contract is contained in the annexes to IDW: in Section 3 SWZ contract project together with annexes and in Section 4-Documentation.
