Netherlands – Construction work for water projects – 31216018 Verbeteren wateraanvoer Noordervaart

The project Improving Water Supply Noordervaart aims to achieve a robust and future-proof water management system around Lock 15, thereby increasing water supply towards both the Noordervaart and the Zuid-Willemsvaart. The contract will be executed in two phases: a design and preparation phase for the joint development of design and preparation for implementation (Phase 1), followed by the implementation phase (Phase 2). The works mainly consist of replacing outdated and worn-out structures, increasing the discharge capacity under free fall and implementing measures for additional water supply. For the Noordervaart, this involves adaptations and major maintenance for drought control in the Peel region. For the Zuid-Willemsvaart, the project includes, among other things, the construction of a bypass along Lock 15 with control systems for water level management.
