The contract includes the detailed design of the public space within the project area, as well as any necessary investigations and coordination related to this. The detailed design covers Davidshallstorg from facade to facade on all four sides of the square, as well as parts of the connecting streets, a total of approximately 8600 m2. The detailed design is based on a preliminary study with accompanying guidelines for design. The square is divided into three areas with different characters and contents. The streets on the long sides of the square are raised and adapted to create conditions for pedestrian streets with larger outdoor dining areas. In the north, parts of Storgatan are rebuilt to create a cohesive design and increase accessibility for pedestrians. In the south, the junction between the square and the connecting streets is adapted.
