The port of Neuharlingersiel serves to supply the island of Spiekeroog, as a fishing and yachting port, as a port for guest berths and for the drainage of the hinterland. For various reasons, the Hafen Zweckverband Neuharlingersiel intends to develop up-to-date, attractive berths for the fishing industry, with work safety, the supply of shore power and water to the cutters, and the disposal of wastewater being of great importance. The new berths should be easily accessible by vehicle so that repairs can also be carried out there away from the slipway.
