The gymnasium in Neukirchen was constructed in 1970 and has since only been partially maintained. Given the age of the facility, the visible structural damage, and today's requirements for school and club sports, a comprehensive renovation and functional reorganisation of the existing building is sought. A feasibility study is available, detailing the current structural and functional status, the key results of the existing structural analysis, and the possible reorganisation from a planning perspective. The following requirements for implementation have been established as a result: >> the restoration of structural components (masonry, reinforced concrete supports, beam bearings, roof waterproofing), >> the demolition and reconstruction of interior spaces in the hall area and ancillary rooms, >> the reorganisation of changing and sanitary facilities in the southern extension, >> the structural extension in the northern area to accommodate a larger equipment room and possibly technical areas, >> the renewal of the building's technical equipment (heating, ventilation, sanitary, electrical, lighting), >> energy efficiency measures for the building envelope and technical systems, >> the equipping of the hall interior (sports floor, impact walls, sports facilities).
