Belgium – Installation services of communications equipment – Modernisation et déploiement de sites LTE/4G pour le réseau radio ASTRID - « simple for legacy » (adaptation de mâts/pylônes, génie civil, câblage, etc..)

No deadline given

Description

This contract concerns the modernisation by a Site Builder of the simple infrastructure of the ASTRID « simple for legacy » base stations, i.e. without major constraints related to legacy equipment. A.S.T.R.I.D. plans to deploy an LTE RAN network based on the PPDR frequency bands allocated to it. This network is called the MC RAN network. A.S.T.R.I.D. estimates that the MC RAN network will be based on 560 outdoor sites. This contract covers the modernisation of these sites. In this context, ASTRID estimates that approximately 65% of these sites will need to be modernised without major constraints related to legacy equipment (« simple for legacy ») by adding equipment, of which 25 of the pylons/structures will need to be replaced, 4 sites/year will need to be relocated (« site moves ») independently of the deployment of the MC RAN network (end of lease contract). The following parties are involved in the construction and operation of the outdoor MC RAN network:

• The mobile operator (MNO) will be responsible for:

o providing specific telecom equipment

o commissioning, optimising and integrating the eNodeB

o operating the network: maintenance and support

• The Site Builder (designated by this contract) will be responsible for:

o the physical deployment of equipment (installation)

o the supply of small equipment

• The Consortium (Airbus-Proximus) will handle the « transmissions » part in addition to the E-Lines installed (Proximus and Telenet).

• The Consortium (Airbus-Proximus) will handle activities related to legacy equipment (TETRA/PAGING).

The Site Builder who will be designated by this procedure must prepare, coordinate and carry out the LTE site modernisation works according to the plans and specifications prepared by it and approved by the Contracting Authority.

Place of service: Several locations (the sites concerned are located throughout the Belgian territory) and the recurrent meetings are held by Teams or at the seat of the contracting authority (Brussels)
