Description

The contracting authority intends to renovate, expand and convert the parliamentary building on the Düsseldorf Rhine promenade. The overall objective of the measure is to further develop the building in terms of construction, functionality, technology and energy so that it meets both current and future requirements for a modern parliamentary operation and at the same time meets the climate policy goals of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The subject of the tendered service is the comprehensive specialist planning of the facade technology for the existing building of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament in Düsseldorf. The facades and glass roofs of the parliament building were planned and executed by the ARGE Fassade Beaujean - Thierron (BTH) from 1985 to 1986. The building envelope consists of various facade types that differ significantly in terms of materiality, construction, building physics and safety. The basis for the specialist engineering services for the facade technology are the existing as-built documents as well as the investigations and expert reports already carried out. The total facade area is approximately 26,000 m² and can be subdivided as follows, among others: - Standard facade: approx. 20,000 m² - Rotunda facade: approx. 600 m² - Staircase facades: approx. 1,150 m² - Special facades: approx. 2,220 m² - Cantilever facades: approx. 2,200 m² - Interior facades: approx. 200 m² Details result from the service description (Annex 1 to the contract, Annex 2 to the AzA).
