Denmark – Road construction works – Ny forbindelsesvej VEGA til Horsens C (E45)

The new connecting road between Vrøndingvej and E45 (Horsens C) includes earthworks, surfacing and drainage works on a approximately 1.3 km stretch and is to be constructed as a 2-lane road with a width of 8m and 5.5m shoulders on both sides of the road. Furthermore, an in-situ cast concrete bridge with 5 spans and a clearance of approximately 7m over the crossings of Bygholm Å and Hatting Bæk as well as Nørrehåbsstien shall be established. The connecting road borders a protected natural area designated as Natura 2000, a §3 area which the road must cross, and a watercourse protection line within which the works will take place. The contract also includes the establishment of 4 rainwater basins with treatment plants, road safety measures, groundwater lowering with re-injection, the establishment of a bat screen on the bridge and planting along the road, among other things.
