Germany – Medical specialist services – Ärztliches Zweitmeinungsverfahren bei orthopädischen Erkrankungen

The subject of the procurement is the provision of an independent medical second-opinion procedure for orthopaedic conditions, including the creation of written second-opinion reports to assess the indication and benefit of recommended orthopaedic surgeries, as well as the risk assessment of a medically non-indicated extension of indication based on § 27b SGB V. The service includes orthopaedic procedures that are the subject of the current guideline of the Gemeinsamen Bundesausschusses (G-BA) on the specification of the entitlement to an independent medical second opinion, as well as additionally further orthopaedic indications according to the statute of the DAK-G.
