In the Bielefeld-Brackwede Prison, the roof and facade of the main building are dilapidated due to age and are to be renewed. Furthermore, numerous ventilation systems are installed in the prison, which no longer meet energy standards and can be replaced as part of the planned roof and facade renovation. The prerequisite for the facade renovation is the removal of the inmates due to partly noise-intensive work. Once the detention houses are emptied, the opportunity will be taken to retrofit the lighting in the property to LED.
