Mühlenkreiskliniken is the name of the collaboration between the Johannes Wesling Klinikum Minden, the Krankenhaus Rahden, the Krankenhaus Lübbecke, and the Krankenhaus Bad Oeynhausen. As 100% subsidiary companies, the Auguste-Viktoria-Klinik Bad Oeynhausen GmbH belongs to the group. Within their structures, the Mühlenkreiskliniken operate the Medical Centre for Mental Health, the Medical Care Centre (MVZ) and the Academy for Health Professions. The legal form of the Mühlenkreiskliniken is the Public Law Institution (AöR), the carrier is the Kreis Minden-Lübbecke. Over 5,200 employees care for approximately 250,000 patients annually, on an outpatient and inpatient basis. The mandate of the Mühlenkreiskliniken is to ensure and expand the inpatient medical care of the people in the Kreis Minden-Lübbecke and beyond. The range of services extends from emergency medicine, obstetrics and teleradiological diagnostics to the high-level medical care of the seriously ill. In addition, the Mühlenkreiskliniken, with their locations in Minden as a university clinic, in Bad Oeynhausen, Lübbecke and Rahden as academic teaching hospitals, have been partners of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in the field of medical education since October 2016. The existing locations Lübbecke and Rahden will be combined in a joint new building "Klinikum Lübbecker Land" in the municipality of Espelkamp. The aim of the planning is to realise a sustainable hospital building and operation under the three aspects of "economy, ecology and social". The aim is to operate the building in an energy-neutral manner by 2045 at the latest. Accordingly, the requirements for the insulation standard and the tightness of the building envelope should be high in order to reduce the energy required for conditioning as much as possible. In order to make a later expansion with further renewable energies possible, the technical centres are designed to be adaptable. The building site is an agricultural field that has not been built on before. Therefore, no building structures and technical installations need to be secured. The new building Klinikum Lübbecker Land is planned as a massive reinforced concrete frame structure. It consists of four components - somatic, psychiatry, teaching and entrance hall - which are connected to each other on the same level in the basement, ground floor and 1st floor. The OKFF ground floor is at NHN 50.50m. The site will be raised by approximately 1.9m with a gradient. The basement and the courtyard are completely underground. The components are held together by a uniform facade design consisting of standing and lying elements. Maintenance balconies made of precast concrete elements divide the building horizontally. The single-storey entrance hall is a steel-wood construction with a post-and-beam facade. The car park is not the subject of the present planning and will be handled by the client as an independent project.
