GRAND PORT MARITIME DE DUNKERQUEFrancePublished on Jan 25, 2026
No deadline given

Description

In the context of developing the electric vehicle, the Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque (GPMD) has decided to support the growth of the battery sector by offering an improved platform to host companies in this field. The ZGI 2 and ZGI 3 projects are located in the Industrialo-Portuaire Zone of the Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque, spanning the communes of Bourbourg, Craywick and Saint-Georges-sur-l'Aa. In this context, the Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque has decided to launch archaeological diagnostics. These studies must enable the DRAC to define the archaeological issues of the project sector. They lead to the issuance of excavation prescriptions, detailed in the prefectural decree, in order to preserve potential archaeological remains located within the project's scope. The State services (DRAC), following these two phases, have prescribed a first surface area of 5.3 hectares for archaeological excavations, in accordance with the preventive archaeological excavation prescription decree n°59_2024_066-03 and its annex (the Scientific Terms of Reference), dated 10 February 2025. This decree modifies the previous prefectural decrees n°59_2024_066_02 (dated 4 February 2025) and n°59_2024_066_01 (dated 5 August 2024).
