Germany – Operation of a water-purification plant – Grundwassersanierung ehem. Gaswerk Mannheim-Luzenberg - Betrieb der Wasseraufbereitungsanlage - Betriebszeitraum 01.10.2026 bis 30.09.2031

On the site of the former Luzenberg gasworks in Mannheim, there are extensive contamination areas with gasworks residues covering approximately 5 ha, resulting in massive groundwater pollution. The existing remediation consists of an underground microbiological in-situ remediation of the main contamination areas and the above-ground groundwater treatment. The existing groundwater treatment plant has been in operation since January 2010 and is currently operating at a throughput of approximately 46.5 m³/h. The water is extracted via a total of 15 wells, oxygenated, treated, carbonated, and reinfiltrated via a total of 37 infiltration wells. The services to be provided include the operation of the remediation plant during the operating period from 01.10.2026 to 30.09.2031.
