The municipality of Bechhofen plans to renew its combined sewer treatment facilities by replacing an existing overflow tank at the site of the existing tank on the outskirts of Bechhofen with a new one. The new construction is necessary because the existing facility, due to poor building substance and insufficient material quality, cannot be renovated. The new overflow tank, with a volume of approximately 2,500 m³, will be realised as a closed flow-through tank in a bypass with three consecutive chambers, which will be filled and emptied at staggered times. After the new tank is commissioned, the existing overflow tank will be taken out of operation and filled in. The planning of the dismantling is part of this tender.
