DB InfraGO AG plans to upgrade the 6899 route to double track throughout in order to increase the route's capacity. The investment sum for this project is estimated at approximately EUR 1.7 billion. Of this, approximately EUR 100 million has already been settled through an existing contract. The new insurance contract to be tendered will replace the existing contract. The construction period is currently planned to last until 31.12.2030. The insurance contract will commence after the completion of the tendering procedure, on the date of the award following a currently existing preliminary cover. (Type M) The liability insurance cover is EUR 25,000,000 per claim for personal, property, and financial losses, including environmental liability insurance benefits. The planning liability insurance has a separate cover of EUR 10,000,000 per claim for property and financial losses. The aforementioned amounts are tripled. The Extendend Maintenance in the construction and assembly insurance part is 42 months. The liability period is 10 years in the liability insurance, and 5 years in the environmental liability and environmental damage insurance. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. The deductible does not apply to personal injuries. The planning liability insurance includes extended planning cover. As part of the extended planning cover, the deductible is EUR 100,000.
