Weimar-Nord is one of the few districts of the city of Weimar that does not have a community centre or civic centre. At the same time, Weimar-Nord, due to its urban planning framework and population structure, is a social hotspot. In comparable large housing estates, such civic centres have proven themselves as multifunctional meeting points and advisory centres. The advisory services of the family office are also to be decentralised into the social spaces. The following needs have been identified by the service providers in the quarter: - Office and advisory rooms for the Social Space Team North - Supervised living group - Office for the district mayor - Offices for various advisory centres, contact police officer, early intervention, etc. - Free citizens' meeting point with assembly room, kitchen, creative room, clothes room, etc. The need is to be met by the renovation and conversion of vacant premises in two immediately adjacent kindergartens. The usable area to be processed is approximately 1,000 m². These are type kindergartens from the 1970s. The implementation will take place in two construction phases. A suitable open space planning should connect both building parts in terms of content, strengthen existing path relationships in the quarter and create attractive resting areas. The area to be processed is approximately 3,000 m². The construction costs are estimated at 1,350,000 € (gross) for work section 300, 900,000 € (gross) for work section 400 and 595,000 € (gross) for work section 500.
