Netherlands – Winter-maintenance materials – Inkoop advies en materieel gladheidsbestrijding

The scope of the contract is to prepare, together with the contracting authority, for the prevention of ice and snow, to supply and maintain the necessary equipment and materials for the prevention of ice and snow, and to support the execution of the prevention of ice and snow. To prevent fragmented procurement, a task-based approach has been chosen. The following are excluded from this procurement:

- The supply of salt and brine;

- The coordination and execution of ice and snow prevention;

- The management and maintenance of the municipal road surface measurement points;

- The supply of meteorological support.

- To draw up and implement a new ice and snow prevention plan (policy and operational);

- Delivery/lease of replacement winter machines: keep the municipal fleet of winter machines up-to-date (operationally, business-critical);

- Route guidance systems and vehicle tracking: implement, keep efficient and operational;

- Keep the knowledge level of employees at the required level;

- Apply innovations (initiate and utilise), fill in tasks as sustainably as possible;

- In cooperation, realise the prevention of ice and snow annually in a sustainable and integral manner;

- Realise the sustainability objective: 50% less CO2 emissions and 50% circular handling in 2030;

- Make a start towards the sustainability objective: fully climate-neutral and circular handling in 2050.
