Partial overhaul of biogas engine and related construction works for Tettye Forrásház Zrt. The replacement of the Perkins 4008-30 TRS2 engine block of the 506 kW rated electrical power ENER-G 500B type biogas engine, which is operated by TETTYE FORRÁSHÁZ Zrt. and located at the wastewater treatment plant in the Pécs central agglomeration (7634 Pécs, Állomás utca 40.). Regular monthly maintenance carried out by a specialist service ensures the engine's current reliable operation, however, the equipment's operating hours are approaching the manufacturer-defined 48,000 operating hours designed lifespan. Further operation, as the critical operating hours are approached, may pose increased risk. To maintain safe and continuous operation, engine block replacement becomes justified. In addition to the engine block replacement, the construction work also includes the replacement of the exhaust gas heat exchanger of biogas engine 1. The existing exhaust gas heat exchanger is perforated and worn out, so its further reliable use is not guaranteed. In addition, the replacement of the plate heat exchangers of biogas engine 1 (ID No: 2538) and biogas engine 2 (ID No: 2535) has also become necessary. The construction work also includes the complete overhaul and repair of the container structure of biogas engine 2, the elimination of corrosion, mechanical and water ingress defects, the restoration of watertightness, as well as the corrosion protection surface treatment of the container structure, which extends to the entire container structure, including the roof structure and cladding. The container is subjected to increased corrosion due to the biogas environment, outdoor placement, increased humidity, and hydrogen sulfide exposure, and the container's sealing material has aged. The technical parameters, design, size, and connection points of the new equipment to be installed must match the currently operating types or be fully compatible with them.
