The AG is a regional network operator for electricity, heat, water and internet services. Due to current grid planning, the AG expects additional capacity requirements from 2029 in Itzehoe-Nord, which can be provided via a network connection in the UW Itzehoe-West by SH-Netz. For this purpose, the AG is currently planning the construction of two new 110 kV switchgear bays in the UW Itzehoe-West (UW IZ-W) to connect new 110 kV cables for a transmission capacity of 213 MVA to the new UW Itzehoe-Nordwest (UW IZ-NW) to be built. Furthermore, additional grid reinforcement in the Itzehoe urban area (20 kV lines) is required.
