The state capital Magdeburg intends to procure mobile vehicle safety barriers with accessories for recurring temporary use at events. For the areas used for the Magdeburg Christmas Market around the Old Market, the contracting authority had a standard-compliant access protection concept created by a specialist planner based on DIN SPEC 91414-2 in conjunction with DIN ISO 22343-2. Based on the risk analysis of the access protection concept, the necessary quantities and material properties of the vehicle safety barriers required for securing the event were determined. The contracting authority intends to purchase part of the necessary vehicle safety barriers and use them regularly for this and other one-off or recurring events, or make them available for use to municipal and municipal actors. The contracting authority intends to rent another part of the necessary vehicle safety barriers for the duration of the Christmas Market, including delivery, operational-ready assembly, dismantling and collection. As part of this tender, the purchase of certified vehicle safety barriers with accessories, including their delivery to a central delivery point in Magdeburg by 10 November 2026 for first-time use as part of the Magdeburg Christmas Market 2026, will be tendered in several lots.
