Germany – Architectural, engineering and planning services – Klimaangepasste Revitalisierung Landschaftspark Divitz Freianlagenplanung gem. § 38 HOAI

The City of Barth intends to reactivate the Divitz Landscape Park in a climate-adapted manner. The project will be implemented under the funding guideline for the action programme "Natural Climate Protection in Municipal Areas in Rural Areas" (ANK-LK) under the project title "Park-Moor-Land - Because we must do something for the climate, people and nature". The revitalisation of the Divitz Park is a component of the overall Park-Moor-Land project and aims to achieve a nature-like, biodiversity-promoting and ecological enhancement. The manor house was designed as the Divitz water castle in the vicinity of the Barthe (today a 1st order flowing water) and is one of the most significant water castles in Northern Germany and therefore of national importance. The landscape park was laid out in 1844 under the direction of Gustav Meyer. It is divided into the central area of the castle island with the moat, the former pleasure garden, a former kitchen garden located to the east and the landscape park extending to the south. In connection with the water castle, the park is significant for the place Divitz and the cultural landscape in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which is characterised by the estate economies. The estate is a recognised building, garden and archaeological monument. An appropriate monument conservation objective for the park exists and must be strictly observed. To adapt the landscape park to long-term climatic changes, a climate-resilient enhancement of the park is urgently required. Planned main measures: Dredging of ponds (focus on the moat, further in both park ponds), nature-like path improvement (at the moat, landscape park), improvement of water surfaces (bank design and weirs), tree care with new plantings taking into account sightlines, Park-Moor-Land – Information Pavilion. The entire estate is in a deficit maintenance and preservation condition, particularly the water system of the park is increasingly silting up and becoming overgrown. Despite the location in peat areas and the vicinity to the Barthe, the water supply is not stable. The park has successively become a woodland park in large parts and is becoming overgrown. As planning services, basic services in several planning stages (PS) are to be provided: PS 1: Performance phases 1 to 2 (preliminary planning) | PS 2: Performance phases 3 to 4 (design and approval planning) | optional commissioning PS 3: Performance phases 5 to 8 (implementation planning, tendering and construction supervision). The following special services (within the scope of LPH 1-4) are required: Preparation of performance specifications for third parties, hydrological expert reports, public relations. Further information: Two available feasibility studies on the ecological sanitation of the Divitz park ponds incl. moat and lateral networking with the Barthe as well as approval planning for the rewetting of the Barthe meadows in Divitz must be taken into account in order to create an integrative and content-conform overall concept for further planning. Planning stage 2 (design and approval planning) is based on the scope of services for open spaces, and includes the specific measures for the renovation (dredging) and stabilisation of the moat. Furthermore, maintenance and development measures as well as path construction in the park are to be specified.
