The Steglitz-Zehlendorf district of Berlin has, in a 1. construction phase, constructed an extension building for the Arndt-Gymnasium Dahlem at Königin-Luise-Straße 80-84 in 14195 Berlin (Steglitz-Zehlendorf). As part of the 2. construction phase, a new 2-court sports hall is now being implemented on a partial area of the trapezoidal site of the Arndt-Gymnasium. Site details: - District: Dahlem - Plot 17 - Plot 21 - Total area: 20,230 m² The site has a height difference of approx. 1.45 m from south to north (height coordinates of the open spaces are between 53.10 m NHN in the northeast and 51.65 m NHN in the southwest); it is owned by the State of Berlin and is assigned to the special assets of the School Authority. The partial area on which the new sports hall is to be built is currently used as a sports area or as an open and break area. In preparation for this new construction measure, an extension ("Münterbau") built in the 1970s was demolished, thus creating a sufficiently large open space on the site for the construction site setup. This area, which is intended for the construction site setup, as well as the construction site of the new building itself, is accessible via the Bitterstraße. In addition to the pedestrian crossing, no public road land will be required for the construction measure. The planned new construction of the 2-court sports hall is divided into the actual sports hall section, which is arranged parallel to the Bitterstraße. The flat building part, which accommodates the changing rooms and ancillary rooms, is oriented towards the schoolyard, so that the access to the new building also takes place directly from the interior of the school grounds. Nevertheless, the new sports hall is also to be made available for club sports after completion. The placement of the building on the site was carried out taking into account the required setback areas and with the premise of maximum protection of the tree population. Details of the new sports hall: - Dimensions approx. 46.65 x 36.32 m - Height: approx. 9.26 m (sports hall) or 4.39 m (social tract) Construction method: The sports hall will be constructed in solid construction (reinforced concrete/masonry hybrid construction). The sports hall roof will be designed as a gable roof and consists of prestressed concrete beams with a roof covering made of steel trapezoidal profiles (T150.1). It is a warm roof with extensive roof greening. The roof of the social tract consists of a reinforced concrete ceiling. The building is not basemented. The building has no internal firewalls; use as an assembly hall is not intended. Illumination of the sports hall via rooflights made of profile glass, divisibility by means of a partition curtain into two separately usable sports hall parts. The continuous light band of the sports hall consists of an inner 2-layered profile glass plane and an outer 2-layered profile glass facade, which is set at a distance in front of it, so that a 4-layered structure is created in the overall construction. Thermally prestressed profile building glasses and hot-layed thermally prestressed profile building glass are used for the linearly supported vertical glazing. On the inside of the outer 2-layered profile glass facade, a non-strength-reducing enamelling or a coating according to DIN EN 1096-1 is provided. The glazing is planned to be loaded exclusively by its own weight and wind load. The overall construction of the profile glass facade must meet the requirements of DIN 18 032. Installation taking into account all static requirements.
