Denmark – Marine research services – Projekter vedrørende sameksistens mellem havvind og havnatur
Description
The projects shall contribute scientifically sound empirical knowledge on how activities related to offshore wind affect the marine environment, including clarifying whether the activity's impacts can be considered significant, either in themselves or in combination with other pressure factors; whether the activity's impacts are unequivocally negative or if they can also have positive effects; whether the activity's impact primarily occurs locally or if it has a broader geographical impact; and whether any mitigation measures for the activity's impact on the marine environment are effective. In addition to collecting knowledge, the projects can also test mitigation measures for the activity's impact on the marine environment. By activities is meant activities related to the construction, operation and decommissioning of offshore wind installations. Based on the report "Offshore Wind and Nature Coexistence" from DTU Aqua, projects focusing on impacts (see figure 2) from the construction, operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms, including the construction and operation of associated power cables, as well as the decommissioning of offshore wind farms, are prioritized. The project is expected to be completed by no later than 30 November 2030. A total budget of up to 15,0 million DKK has been allocated. Contracts can be awarded to up to three projects. Each project can be awarded a contract of up to 7,5 million DKK ex VAT. See more info in the specification of requirements and tender material.
