Public service contract in the field of rail passenger transport within the meaning of Article 5(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007. The present procedure will award the services on the route Munich Hbf – Landshut Hbf – Regensburg Hbf – Schwandorf – Cham – Furth im Wald – Border D/CZ – Plzen – Praha (= overall network). The contractual obligations of the company awarded the contract will include, inter alia, the procurement of new vehicles to provide the aforementioned SPNV services. The transport services are to be provided from 14.12.2031, the first day of operation after the major timetable change in 2031, after the night break, until 08.12.2046, the last day of operation before the major timetable change in 2046, before the night break. The service period is therefore 15 years. The transport services will be awarded within the framework of a competitive tendering procedure in accordance with the provisions of Part 4 of the Act against Restraints of Competition (GWB) and the Regulation on the Award of Public Contracts (VgV).
