The urban planning of the large district town of Leutkirch im Allgäu envisages the relocation of the existing municipal depot from Brühlstraße to the industrial area at Unterer Auenweg, south of the sewage treatment plant. Relocation of the depot is necessary to free up the site for the construction of a new fire station. The depot is part of the public infrastructure of the town of Leutkirch. The aim of the new building is to create a functional, economical and future-proof location that will permanently meet the requirements of municipal task fulfilment. The town of Leutkirch will carry out the project planning up to and including the approval planning in LPH 4. The site is bounded to the east by the access road - Unterer Auenweg - and to the west by the Eschach. The terrain slopes down from east to west, so that parts of the area lie in the flood zone HQ-Extrem. For economic reasons, the site will not be raised above HQ-Extrem. In the event of a flood, important access roads to the depot would also be affected and it would no longer be accessible. Currently, a ground level of 644.50 m above NHN is being targeted. A 10m wide protective zone will be formed towards the Eschach. The building site does not show any area of suspicion for the field of archaeological soil. In December 2025, there were first drillings for a soil report on the future site. These have been evaluated and will be included in the further planning. The soil report will be made available in the 2nd phase. In addition, a nature conservation report with impact assessment has been prepared, this will be made available in the 2nd phase. A functionally structured building complex in hybrid timber construction is planned: - Base, floor slabs and heavily stressed components in concrete - Timber frame construction, designed as insulated building envelope or open cold hall depending on use - Load-bearing and bracing external and internal walls as large-format, prefabricated timber elements. The gross floor area (GFA) (R) is approx. 6,100 m², GFA (S) approx. 2,200 m² for canopies. A suitable engineering firm with experience in timber or hybrid timber construction is sought for the services of technical building services planning (TGA) according to §§ 53, 55 HOAI ALG 1-3, 7, 8 (HLS), LPH 1-8+9. The contract will be awarded in stages. ALG 1 Sewage, water or gas systems. ALG 2 Heating systems. ALG 3 Air conditioning systems. ALG 7 Usage-specific or process engineering systems: compressed air, car pit, workshop planning, extraction, wash area. ALG 8 Building automation.
