Germany – Roof works and other special trade construction works – Dachabdichtungs- und Klempnerarbeiten

Description of the service: A youth, children and family community centre is to be realised at Querkamp, south of the Brüder-Grimm-Schule. It will house a mix of community, group and multi-purpose rooms as well as offices for the operators. The planned building comprises two full storeys plus an attic and is not underpinned. It will be constructed using a timber frame structure with a solid building core and will feature a purlin roof with extensive greening and a PV system. Access to the construction site will be via the public road Querkamp. Due to a large stock of trees to be preserved in the front area of the building plot, the construction site layout area is very limited. Part of the adjacent school car park to the north can be accessed by small lorries. Parallel to the road on the building plot, a temporary holding bay will be created, which can be used for loading and unloading with a crane. All public roads, pavements and parking spaces must be kept clear.

The bill of quantities includes:

- Insulation and roof waterproofing work

- Metal and plumber's work

- Extensive roof greening

- Rope access system for fall arrest

Essential works:

- Create roof insulation

- Install roof waterproofing including connections to penetrations, roof windows and roof edges

- Mount rope access system and substructure of the PV system

- Produce plumber's work on eaves and gable, gutters and downpipes

- Insulate, seal and drain the colonnade

- Carry out extensive roof greening including push-fit securing
