Belgium – Plant upgrade work – N58 – Mouscron : Réhabilitation et modernisation du tunnel Astrid

The contract for the rehabilitation of the Astrid tunnel in Mouscron covers the following:

•The renovation of the concrete (including the injection of certain joints, …) ;

•The removal of the plaster located at the ceiling and central columns;

•The implementation of passive protection level N2 at the ceiling and the upper part of the walls;

•The closure of the central part to create 2 separate tubes in the tunnel; CSC n° SOF-MI-O8.03.02-26-125 9

•The creation of 2 emergency exits (1 per direction, via the opposite tube);

•The creation of a sidewalk in each of the tubes;

•The replacement of the existing parapets;

•The implementation of acoustic cladding;

•The creation of RF partitions in the technical room to divide it into several separate rooms (including the installation of RF doors);

•The management of water from the muddy walls located behind the technical room's facing wall;
