Switzerland – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – Externe Projektleitung Neubeschaffung Güterwagen Gornerli

The Matterhorn Gotthard Verkehrs AG (MGBahn) intends to procure 10 container-carrying wagons. The vehicles will be used in a first phase of operation for construction site logistics related to the planned construction of the Gornerli dam above Zermatt. The wagons must meet the operational and technical requirements of the Visp–Findelbach line and be able to operate unrestrictedly on this route. After the completion of the construction site transports, it is planned to integrate the container-carrying wagons into the existing freight wagon fleet of the MGBahn. The aim is to gradually renew the existing vehicle fleet with the new vehicles and decommission obsolete freight wagons. Due to a lack of internal resources, the MGBahn intends to mandate an external project manager who will coordinate and technically support the procurement of the vehicles in its entirety.
