Germany – Contractor's all-risk insurance services – Projektversicherung für das Projekt Herstellung Zweigleisigkeit Strecke 6142, Abschnitt Lübbenau-Cottbus

The DB InfraGO AG plans to expand the double-track line on the route from Lübbenau to Cottbus. The project content of the overall measure is the double-track expansion of line 6142 (Berlin – Görlitz) in the section from Lübbenau (a) to Cottbus (a) from km 85,325 to km 112,500, which currently has only a single track. The construction project will be divided into two sections subject to the planning approval procedure. Their boundary is the district boundary between the districts of Oder-Spreewald and Spree-Neiße. The investment sum for this project is estimated at EUR 365 million. Approximately EUR 30 million has already been settled via an existing contract. The insurance contract now being tendered will replace the existing contract. A construction period until 30.06.2028 is currently planned. The insurance contract will commence after the completion of the tendering procedure with the date of the award following a currently existing preliminary cover. (Type M) In the liability insurance, the cover amount per claim is EUR 25,000,000 in total for personal, property, and financial losses, including the benefits from the environmental liability insurance. In the professional indemnity insurance, a separate cover amount per claim of EUR 10,000,000 in total for property and financial losses is available. The aforementioned amounts are maximised threefold. The Extendend Maintenance in the construction and assembly insurance part amounts to 42 months. The liability period in the liability insurance is 10 years, in the environmental liability and environmental damage insurance 5 years. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. The deductible does not apply to personal injury. The extended planning cover is included in the professional indemnity insurance. As part of the extended planning cover, the deductible is EUR 100,000.
