The Thessaloniki Municipality has fountains of various sizes, with one or more basins, equipped with electromechanical equipment for creating complex and multi-layered water jets, which are installed in parks and squares. According to Study No. 3/2026 (Annex II of Declaration No. 24/2026), of the Electrical Lighting & Energy Management Network Department, of the Directorate of Works, Renovations & Maintenance of Public Space, it is planned to carry out the works for the restoration of proper operation according to the technical specifications and maintenance of the equipment, electrical and hydraulic installations of the fountains and water features (such as Nea Paralia). The contractor that will emerge, must perform at regular intervals (weekly, monthly and semi-annually) accordingly, cleaning, descaling, chlorination, inspection, adjustment and repair of the electromechanical-electronic equipment and electrical installations (i.e. pumps, nozzles, valves, electric motors, electrical panels with electrical and electronic devices, speed regulators, cables, sensors, projectors and fountains' lighting, etc.), as well as hydraulic installations (pipes, valves, electric valves, water tanks, etc.).
