Surveys and design services, protective measures, weather protection for facade openings, dismantling of approximately 41 existing windows, installation of approximately 83 steel windows, installation of approximately 50 steel exterior doors, some with transoms, installation of approximately 2 RS steel interior doors, installation of accessories/equipment such as transom fittings, door closers, automatic door operators, door buffers, magnetic catches, etc. The construction site is located in the so-called Torso, consisting of the Round Building and the Long Building, of the Congress Hall at Dutzendteich in Nuremberg. The work will be carried out in sections on the street facade in E0 (arcade), E1 and E2, as well as on the ground floor on the courtyard facade. // The city of Nuremberg intends to carry out measures for the fundamental usability and substance protection of the Congress Hall on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg. The Torso of the unfinished and currently unusable Congress Hall was built from 1935 to 1939 (suspension of the construction measure) and is one of the largest architectural legacies of the NS dictatorship. After the completed remediation (not subject of this procedure), measures are to be implemented that will enable later expansion. The objective of the subproject for fundamental usability and substance protection is to upgrade the shell and to create a tight building envelope.
