Dinamikus system of procurement (DBR) to create a public cutting for the unmanaged areas The purpose of the public cutting is to dismantle the unmanaged, neglected or phytosanitary risk vineyards in such a way that they do not serve as a source of infection in the future, and do not endanger the phytosanitary condition and economic cultivability of the surrounding vineyards. The main reason is to prevent the spread of grapevine yellows phytoplasma (Flavescence dorée – FD). FD is one of the most serious grapevine diseases in Europe, which has appeared in almost the entire wine-producing area of Hungary. The infection spreads rapidly and cannot be cured by direct plant protection treatment, so the dismantling of infected or unmanaged vineyards is one of the most important elements of defence. The purpose of the public cutting is therefore not only to dismantle the given vineyard, but also to maintain the phytosanitary safety of the region, to protect the interests of producers, and to prevent the spread of quarantine pests.
