Germany – Engineering services – Stadt Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler - Hangsicherung und Wiederherstellung Wanderweg unterhalb Calvarienberg, Los 1 - Planungsleistungen für Ingenieurbauwerke, Verkehrsanlagen und Tragwerksplanung

I. Project Description: Following the flood disaster on 14/15 July 2021, the eastern slope of the Calvarienberg, which ascends to the east, eroded as a bluff in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, district of Ahrweiler. The Structure and Approval Directorate (SGD) North and the city of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler now see the need to secure and rebuild this riverbank area along the Ahr. As part of this, the asphalted footpath, which runs along the slope and was also damaged by the flood disaster, and simultaneously a section of the long-distance hiking trail "Ahrsteig", is to be rebuilt. II. The Investigation Area: This involves the eastern embankment section of the Ahr with a steep embankment of approximately 190 m in total length. Of this, approximately 60 m borders vineyard land to the north and approximately 130 m runs as a slope cut with a gravity retaining wall made of natural stone on the mountain side. The support heights range from around 1.5 to 2.8 m. Several meters deep scour holes have formed at the foot of the embankment. Since the Ahr Valley lies within the Natura 2000 site "Ahrtal" and the intervention area partially extends into this Natura 2000 site, a Natura 2000 preliminary assessment was carried out. This concluded that significant impacts on the Natura 2000 habitat types cannot be ruled out when implementing the necessary slope stabilization measures. Therefore, in addition to the preparation of a nature conservation expert report and a species protection report, the preparation of a Natura 2000 compatibility assessment will also be necessary. The services will be tendered in 2 lots: Lot 1 - Planning services for civil engineering structures, planning services for transport facilities and structural design services - Civil engineering structures according to § 41 HOAI in conjunction with Annex 12 HOAI - Transport facilities according to § 47 HOAI in conjunction with Annex 13 HOAI - Structural design according to § 51 HOAI in conjunction with Annex 14 HOAI Lot 2 - Environmental technical investigations The project will be funded from public funds.
