The subject of the competition is the design of an architectural and project solution for the reconstruction of the existing granary with an adjacent residential building and the extension of a new building, the volume of which will be proportionate to the planned investment. The area to be addressed in the competition is located in the municipal district of Svinov, in the cadastral area of Svinov. The granary building and the adjoining residential building are immovable cultural monuments. Currently, the buildings are in poor to hazardous condition. In the past, the buildings have changed owners, who have invested minimally in their maintenance and, with uncoordinated renovations, have intervened in both the exterior and interior of the buildings. According to the client's requirements, a municipal library and a multifunctional hall will be located in the buildings. The area to be addressed is precisely defined in the cadastral map. The subject of the competition is also the design of urban and architectural links in the wider context of the area of interest.
