4.4. The subject of the contract is: 1) collection, transport and disposal of municipal waste generated and collected from all properties located in the city of Łuków, 2) conducting, four times a year i.e. once per quarter, an action promoting the collection and disposal of bulky waste, WEEE, clothing and textiles. 3) liquidation of illegal dumpsites from the territory of the city of Łuków, within the deadlines indicated by the Contracting Authority. 4) organization and management of the Selective Waste Collection Point (PSZOK) in the city of Łuków along with the disposal of the collected waste, 5) collection, transport and disposal of municipal waste collected during and after mass and occasional events indicated by the Contracting Authority, 6) The Contractor, as part of the service for the collection of municipal waste, will equip the properties with bags for the selective collection of waste in the colours specified in the regulations for maintaining cleanliness and order in the city of Łuków (on a "bag for bag" basis) necessary for the proper functioning of the waste management system. 4.5. The area of the city of Łuków is 35.75 km2 (3575 ha). The population of the city as of 31.12.2024 is 27,094 inhabitants. The city of Łuków is characterized by a negative population growth rate. 4.6. After analyzing the properties of the city of Łuków, the estimated number of residents as of 31 December 2025 is 25,392, of which approx. 46% live in single-family housing, the remaining approx. 54% of residents live in multi-family housing. 4.7. Number of properties: 1) estimated number of inhabited single-family properties approx. 4,250, 2) number of multi-family housing approx. 183 blocks, 3) estimated number of properties where no residents live but municipal waste is generated approx. 850. 4.8. A detailed description of the subject of the contract is contained in Annex 1 to the specification of the contract conditions.
