A coating system is being procured for the Technical Centre of the Sustainable Packaging Institute (SPI) at the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences in Sigmaringen. The system is to coat web-shaped substrates, such as films and paper. Furthermore, these substrates should be able to be laminated or coated. Among other things, mono films, multilayer composite films, laminate barrier films, active films for use as bags, sealing films, thermoforming films, coatings for papers and active packaging materials with various properties are to be produced. These are developed and produced using the system to enable highly functional, sustainable, plastic-free films and coatings for packaging applications in a circular bioeconomy.
