A combined laboratory and office building with approximately 15,500 m2 of gross floor area, including a workshop and pilot plant as well as a test field, is to be planned. The following points are to be taken into particular consideration in the planning of the building: • Pilot plant and workshop with highly equipped chemical/ reaction engineering and physical laboratories with high air change rates and provision of all relevant reaction gases (hydrogen, carbon monoxide, ammonia, synthesis gas, CO2, N2, synthetic air, argon, helium) • Fire, explosion, emission (BImSchG), occupational safety, ventilation, electrical, heating and cooling systems, wastewater management (e.g. necessary scrubbers for ammonia) and gas warning sensors. The construction measure will be funded as a grant measure with financial assistance from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Ministry for Culture and Economic Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MKW). The realisation of the construction project is subject to financing. The positions mentioned in the scope of services will be executed as required. The requested services will be commissioned by the AG as follows - in stages: • Project Stage 1 – corresponds to phases 1-3 according to HOAI • Project Stage 2 – corresponds to phases 4-6 according to HOAI • Project Stage 3 – corresponds to phases 7-9 according to HOAI. The AG initially awards the services for Project Stage 1 to the AN. The AG commits to commissioning the AN to provide the further services for Project Stages 2 and 3, if and to the extent that the construction project is actually continued by the AG beyond the previously commissioned project stage. An essential factual prerequisite for the actual continuation by the AG – but not an additional legally binding condition for the AN's claim to further commissioning – is the receipt of the grant notice from the grantor for the project. The staged commissioning does not give the contractor any legal claim to the transfer of further project stages. A claim to further commissioning exists exclusively in the event of a separate written commissioning by the client. Location of the building site: Brainergy Park Jülich. The basic structure of the new building. The building is essentially divided into two sections, the laboratory or office area and the adjacent test hall including workshop. The laboratory and office area is planned as a 3-storey reinforced concrete skeleton structure. The storey heights here average 4.50 m with a base area of approximately 2,850 m2. The adjacent building section, which houses the workshops and test hall, is planned as a hall in precast concrete construction. The main load-bearing structure is formed by means of TT panels, precast concrete beams and precast concrete columns. The storey heights vary here in the range of 4m to 9m with a base area of approximately 1,500 m2. The technical centre is located on the roof of the building. The enclosure of this centre is carried out via a steel construction. The classification of the local conditions is as follows: - Earthquake zone 3 - sap, R: 3.0 m/s² - Subsoil class S - Ground class C. The building is stiffened via reinforced concrete floor and wall panels. The building is approximately 19.3 m high (OK attic) and has a gross floor area of 15,831 m2. BGF: approx. 15,831 m2 BRI: approx. 82,418 m³ NUF: 8,327 m² (NUF 1-7). Awarding: General planner/ general contractor. Start of construction: Q1/2028. Planned completion: Q4/2031. Estimated construction time: approx. 50 months. Main project participants: General planner (project planner, HVAC planner, electrical planner, structural engineer, building physics, fire protection). Planning status: Beginning of performance phase 3. Realisation: The completion of the building is planned for the fourth quarter of 2031. The service to be provided includes in particular the examination of: 1. Structural design advice in performance phase 3 2. Calculations of the proof of stability 3. Structural drawings in structural and structural terms 4. Proof of structural fire protection 5. Structural drawings in accordance with point 3 6. Earthquake proof 7. Site installation 8. Spot checks during execution and issuance of certificates.
