Description

The Coburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) intends to expand and further develop its existing training centre into a future-proof training campus. The aim of the project is to strengthen the regional training and further education infrastructure and to create modern, flexibly usable learning and event spaces for different qualification formats in vocational education and training. The IHK Coburg, as an institution of economic self-administration, plays a central role in the qualification of skilled workers and the promotion of lifelong learning. Accordingly, there is a continuous need for quality-assured, practice-oriented further training offers, which must be spatially and technically up-to-date. Project subject and construction task The core renovation of a listed building, its conversion and functional adaptation to the requirements of a modern training centre, as well as the structural and functional connection with the existing training centre (above and below ground). Furthermore, the aim of the measure is to establish the functional and structural connection of the existing training centre to the new building to be constructed, in order to create a coherent "training campus". For this purpose, a wall opening is planned in the existing building - subject to the necessary monument protection approval - via which the direct connection is established. The external development between the buildings is carried out via new path installations including paving work as well as the necessary lighting and signage. In addition, a comprehensive renovation of the existing sanitary area is necessary. Due to the age and structural condition, all water-carrying pipes as well as the complete sanitary facilities must be renewed to meet current technical and hygienic requirements. In the city of Coburg, there is a particular focus on the preservation of building cultural and monument protection aspects due to the extensive historical building stock, which must be taken into account in planning and implementation. The measure subject to the invitation to tender is carried out taking into account the specific requirements of monument protection. The project is supported by public funding (including BAFA and Free State of Bavaria). The space programme for the project has already been coordinated and confirmed. The milestones for the implementation of the project provide for: - Start of services: Oct 2026 - Start of construction: 3rd quarter 2027 - Depending on the grant approval - Completion: 2nd quarter 2028 The total costs of the project (cost groups 200-600) are estimated at 2.08 million euros gross, and are broken down as follows: - Cost group 200 approx. 38,000€ - Cost group 300 approx. 1,171,000€ - Cost group 400 approx. 605,000€ - Cost group 500 approx. 169,000€ - Cost group 600 approx. 90,000€ It is intended to commission the following services with this invitation to tender: Services of the Technical Equipment, equipment groups 4, 5 and 6, according to §§ 53 ff.
