Denmark – Industrial machinery – C-Tech test facility for Aalborg University (Esbjerg)

The contracting authority is issuing this tender in relation to research activities carried out within the Carbon Transformation & Energy Control Hub (C TECH) project at AAU Energy. The project aims to establish a modular pilot and demonstration facility in Esbjerg for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) and Power to X (PtX) technologies. The facility should consist of an integrated setup of four 20-foot containers housing electrolysis (hydrogen production), CO2 capture, methanol synthesis, and a supply container. The establishment of the facility is part of the project's overall objective to accelerate the development and demonstration of existing and emerging CCUS and Power to X technologies. In addition, the project contributes to competence development by supporting the education and training of future engineers and fostering collaboration with industry partners and public stakeholders in the region and beyond.
