Finland – Medical imaging services – Rintasyövän seulontatutkimukset ja muut kliiniset mammografiatutkimukset

The subject of the procurement is the comprehensive breast cancer screening services and clinically justified mammography examinations exceeding in-house production for the Central Finland Wellbeing Services County. The breast cancer screenings are regulated by the Government Decree, radiation legislation and official guidelines. Based on the Health Care Act (1326/2010), the Central Finland Wellbeing Services County is to arrange screenings in accordance with the national screening programme. The number of individuals invited to breast cancer screening for the screening year 2025 was 16,628 in total in the Central Finland Wellbeing Services County. Approximately 85% of those invited have participated in the examinations. The actual number of individuals to be invited to the screenings each year will be determined annually when the Service Provider collects data from the population register. The procurement also includes clinically justified mammography examinations, approximately 1,100 of which are performed annually. Sub-tenders are allowed. Both sub-areas will be compared and decided as a single entity. A supplier will be selected for both sub-areas based on the tender comparison. If the Supplier is selected for both sub-areas, the procuring entity reserves the right to combine the sub-areas into a single contract.
