The Verbandsgemeinde Rhein-Selz plans to shape the future of its educational landscape and intends to build a modern, two-track primary school in hybrid timber construction, including a school sports hall. The building should be designed from the outset to allow for a later expansion to four tracks, both structurally and functionally. In particular, the site layout should take into account a future expansion in such a way that disruptions to ongoing school operations are minimized. Another central aspect of the planning is the proactive consideration of a holistic media introduction, which covers both the current new build and the possible expansion. In addition, sustainability aspects, such as rainwater management, are an integral part of the planning, without a specific certification (BNB, DGNB, etc.) being prescribed. The location of the school is fixed. The new build will be constructed on plots 261 and 262 in Dalheim, Dexheimer Straße (K39). The areas are currently used for agricultural purposes. The aim of the project is to create a modern learning and living space that meets current educational requirements. The construction project will be carried out in accordance with the school construction guidelines of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and will be guided by the following guidelines: - Sustainability: Realization of an ecologically and economically exemplary building with a focus on energy efficiency, longevity and low life-cycle costs. - Accessibility: Ensuring inclusive access to all facilities and services for children, teachers and visitors with and without disabilities. - Modern pedagogy: Creation of flexible and adaptable space concepts that optimally support cooperative learning, differentiated instruction and digital media. - User participation: Active and structured involvement of all relevant user groups (school management, teaching staff, works council, student council, etc.) throughout the planning and construction process. The planning includes, among other things, a teaching kitchen for home economics lessons, a tea kitchen for the teaching staff, and a canteen with a fresh kitchen. All requirements of the Z-Bau and the school construction guidelines must be observed. Compliance with the solar obligation in Rhineland-Palatinate is a binding part of the planning requirements. All new buildings must be planned in accordance with the requirements of the State Building Code or the State Solar Act, so that photovoltaic and/or solar thermal systems can be installed, provided this is technically and economically feasible. A web-based project communication management system (PKMS) will be used for the project process, which will be provided by the client and ensure the secure exchange of project-related data and documents.
