The Kainuu Wellbeing Services County requests tenders for a UPS + supercapacitor combination to be delivered to Kainuu Central Hospital, with which the power peaks of the backup power network connected to the CT imaging device are limited and controlled. The procurement is a public procurement (Public Procurement Act (1397/2016)) exceeding the EU threshold for goods. The CT imaging device draws a large amount of power during acceleration (as per the attached documents/images), which drops sharply in about ten (10) seconds. With the offered solution, this power peak must be limited to a value where the current drawn from the grid is at most 3 x 125-140 A. The supplier must size the system based on the given technical starting points. Kainuu Wellbeing Services County will select one (1) supplier to deliver the UPS+supercapacitor device to Kainuu Central Hospital based on the procurement competition. The implementation of the contract period for the UPS+supercapacitor device to be procured must be completed by the end of 2026 at the latest, and the commissioning of the procured device must be completed by the beginning of 2027 at the latest.
