The subject of the competition is the processing of the design of the urban solution for the Nový Křižík locality in Trutnov. The aim of the competition is to design the layout of the area, its connection with the surrounding urban structure, the division and hierarchization of public spaces, and last but not least, high-quality transport links and services. All this while taking into account the necessary protection of the values and character of the area and with proportionate financial costs. The contracting authority will, through the competition, obtain a basis for the coordination of known and future investment intentions of its own and other stakeholders in the area in question. The territorial study will create a conceptual framework for the area, which will set out the spatial, functional and aesthetic requirements for the area. The obligations of the requirements defined by the territorial study will be achieved by amending the land use plan with elements of the regulatory plan for the area in question. The City of Trutnov is looking for a new perspective on the exceptional locality in the immediate vicinity of the city centre, which is predestined to offer a harmonious connection of housing, community life and employment opportunities. The contracting authority strongly recommends that the competition entries be rational in their economic, operational and technical aspects, so as to ensure the feasibility of the transformation of the area.
