Our networks connect. With energy, with data and with the future. As a transport network operator, supply security has the highest priority for terranets bw - today and in the future. With a 2,750-kilometre gas network, terranets bw ensures the secure supply of heat and power from Lower Saxony to Lake Constance. In doing so, terranets bw has a climate-neutral future in mind and is already building a powerful hydrogen network. In addition to services around gas-technical systems, terranets bw provides customers with a high-performance fibre optic network as an infrastructure provider. The high-pressure natural gas pipeline network to be flown over and inspected is approximately 2,750 km long and is regularly flown over with a helicopter in a 4-week cycle as part of maintenance. Based on service contracts, four sub-networks of other gas suppliers with a total length of approximately 270 km are currently flown over for monitoring purposes by terranets bw every 8 weeks as part of the inspection of its own network. In addition, a CH4 LDAR Type II flight measurement is to be carried out every two years - first flight by 31.12.2026 - (detection limit 1,000 ppm or 5g per hour).
